Hey there! I’m Whitney Ann, the face behind Whitney A Photography.. I am a wife, mother of 3 not so little babies, and a lifestyle portrait photographer. My husband and I are Alabama natives, but Tennessee, Georgia, New York, and Louisiana have been our “home is where the Army sends you” home for the last twelve years. We are so stinking excited to be back home and I can’t wait to settle in and start this adventure!
I started this journey back in 2012 and have been providing my clients with lasting memories since! I absolutely love my job and enjoy getting to know my clients and watching their family grow! My ultimate goal is to offer you a stress free experience. I offer a documentary approach that allows me to freeze your family’s memories and provide you with custom heirloom artwork. I see my own children light up when mommy gets a new piece of art that showcases them and can’t wait for my clients to experience the same!
A little about me and my business..
I started my photography journey as a mom wanting to document my children’s every waking second and quickly realized it was more than just a hobby! I joked around with a girl friend once saying I was going to tag along with her to her husbands welcome home ceremony and play photographer. The memories and emotions captured were enough to pull me in for the long haul.
I started my photography business in 2012, but it wasn’t until 2014 when it bloomed into a full blown photography business. By then I had taken several courses to learn the in’s and out of photography. I started investing in professional equipment and furthering my education so that I could offer my clients the best experience possible.
I’d say within the last few years is when I finally found my niche in photography. I love the lifestyle approach to photography! Don’t get me wrong, I love a good traditional portrait, but the authentic laughs and family fun in-between shots is what really tugs at my heart strings!
I am a CANON girl! <3 My husband gifted me my first DSLR camera back in 2011 and I’ve been shooting Canon since. A few of my favorite lenses to shoot with are my Canon 24-70mm, Canon 35mm, Sigma 50mm, Canon 85mm, Canon 100mm macro, and my Canon 200mm. I can’t say I have a specific favorite because I favor specific ones for different things.

I value my clients and their feedback. One of the best compliments is seeing reviews where you’ve enjoyed your experience! If you’d like to share you experience with others please leave a review! I can’t wait to work with you and your family again!
