Milestone Photography | Newborn Session with the Woody Family| 9 April, 2016
I had this beautiful baby girl in the studio with me last weekend!! Baby P was 7 weeks young when she came in and did a fabulous job!! I typically photograph newborns between 5-14 days young, but when the opportunity came to photograph this beauty, I couldn’t resist. I’m not going to lie, I was a little nervous about how alert she would be, if she’d move around a lot, how her head control would be… We pride ourselves *newborn photographers everywhere* on being baby whispers and being able to lull a newborn into a deep sleep; as many of you may know, that combination = a successful newborn session.. This sweet little one did just that!! She was absolutely perfect! I categorized this session under milestone photography due to the age of this sweet angel. Although she was perfect in a newborn setting.
Mom and Dad were pretty awesome as well and made my job super easy! My ultimate goals during a newborn session are to safely capture the innocence of these sweet little babies and preserve their little features; so that years down the road you can look back on your images and have a visual reminder that your little bit was in fact that tiny. I love when families come in and are able relax and just take in the moment. Watching their sweet little angels rest sweetly in little poses that show off their features. Being a mom of 2, I know just how hectic those first few days, weeks, months, YEARS, can be. You’re overly tired, but would rather sit and watch the tiny miracle sleep; you’re constantly trying to readjust to new sleep and eat schedules; and as everything seems to be going by so slow in the blink of an eye, your baby will be getting on the bus for Kindergarten.
